Snowy, cold evening in Warsaw...

Puglia Rosso Moltepulciano 2008 - this is the wine that by accident is spending the night with us. No… It’s not an accident. I wanted to buy it – it was cheap – PLN 29, and had a nice label! By accident because my fiancĂ© bought it while getting back from meeting in La Fromageria on Burakowska Street in our snowy and cold (but Christmas ready) Warsaw. La Fromageria is nice, but-not-so-cheap shop with different kind of chesses from all over the world. They also have wines, sandwiches, good coffee and staffs.

What is eye catching is the label, different than regular wine – text only, written in regular font type Times New Roman 12. But catchy (it it’s my favorite English word lately)…

But getting back to the wine… It’s tasty, deep and long,( no… it’s shortJ ) fruity (I found there cherries)… It’s tasty red Toscanini wine but nothing special for me. Yes, because you like long tasted wines, and I like the short ones… and this one is short J. As a compromise I can agree it’s full...

Would I buy it again? No. I would, definitely! It’s great, cheap, and good for every day! I love it!
But would I drink it again if I would be treated? Yes. It’s just the drink ready wine that you can drink. Bleb le ble… blu blu bla! It’s GOOD! Maybe –not great wine… but GOOD! And cheap!

Ps. Remember Hunky Dory, the Pinot noir that we were tasting last week? We bought 6 bottlesJ. It was so delicious that despite it is EXPENSIVE wine we decide to buy it for special occasions (for moments celebrations)… And if there is an occasion You would like to celebrate with us – You are welcome, cause we’ve got big amount of good wine!

...after the beginning

Just a moment ago we have conversation which is as below:
You  know... I really need to write the new post on our blog...
Go on! Write something...
I don't have anything to write about...
Hold on! I'll open for you another bottle of wine!

You know..it's really nice - writing, drinking, tasting :)
Yes it's really nice -drinking, tasting, writing :P

So now he is opening a new bottle of wine. It's from Chile, but it's made by French man in French style.. So it's quite funny :) From Chile but in French style! We've got it from bistruzuzu.pl ( www.101win.pl). It's called Le Mision, Carmenere 2007 - RESERVA :D (when I hear reserva it gives me comfort that short production series brings appropriate quality). It's very different from Hunky D (Hunky, I love you!). You can't feel it on your tongue - you can feel it near throat. It's very dark (so red and not burgundy), but not intense. I think that this is rather my taste, not Piotrek's... But now he said: I'm not drinking...I'm thinking... So he probably write something smart about taste of this wine tomorrow?  Maybe:)

This is really strange, cause this wine doesn't have intense taste (the same as in Hanky Dory, I heard that the excellence in wine making is to smuggle a lot of alcohol, which in wine making means more than 13%, in smooth taste)... You can really quickly forgot that you've drunk this wine... this is something new for me:) And the reason why we are new in the new world is that we were drinking only Chianti.

Oh! Some interesting facts about Mr William Fevre and his wine You can read  here

Wine story. The biginning...

We drink wines. In winter we do red. In spring we start doing white. During the summer mainly frizzante. In autumn we get back to red and the story repeats…
The reason why we start this blog is because we want to make some notes about wines we tasted…
What we wanted to archieve are the tastes, the moments – to get back to them and never be disappointed again. When we are buying the wine we purchase one or two bottles. When we manage to buy the one that we like we state: mhmmmm delicious, the next time we will buy the same one (not to disappoint and to drink the one that we like:))… but we never do because in wine shop there is something new, salesman offers something else and we test and taste the new one…
This is the moment we say: stop! stop! Let the story begins…
Friday, snowy, late  evening in Warsaw – one part of us is going to do hair, the second one to get green bottles. It is clear enough I guess who was doing what – the stereotypic thinking is welcome in here! The picks were as followed: Honky Dory (Pinot Noir 2009 from New Zealand cupped, not corked if it matters) and Roche Dei Manzoni (Dolcetto d’alba vigna La Matinre 2005). The first ready to drink, the second to be decanted for at least an hour… Guess which one won the race to be tasted as the first one?

It’s obvious – Hunky Dory... The etiquette is so catchy – so beautiful, so simple designed but charming at the same time…We could not resist drinking it later, we had to drink it at first. We had to taste what was inside in this bottle… And there was a lot… Hunky D was deep in taste, very aromatic, with some taste of red fruits – mainly cherry. With the first wisp it was dancing on your tongue (it felt like a lot of bubbles were going over your tongue but only one barbered sensitive tongue was able to have felt the buzz).
This is the wine that we will get back to for sure! The length of the taste fits more to one of us as the second taste is heavier and longer preferred. But it’s worth the price although it is not the lowest – about PLN 80 available in winkolekca.pl.
Summarizing – I loved the wine and will influence Piotr to purchase even a whole box of Hunky D. And although my taste is different I will drink it once again with all the pleasure on my side...

PS.Yes - we are doing this togetgher - the girly side of our relationship is blue in this blog, and the male side - is black...
